The Three Reasons why EED Students Don’t Come To the Class

The students sometimes do not come to the class because they are afraid to come to a certain class, they are very late, and forget to have a class.

They are afraid to come to a certain class, it happens because they are depressed with the course. The course is too difficult for them, so they avoid it. During the course, after the lecturer gives explanation about the material, then it follows by some exercises that make some students depressed. They are also afraid of the lecturer. They usually worry because they cannot answer the questions given to them during questioning session. So, when they wait for the turn to answer the question, it makes their heart beat fast. Sometimes they are afraid to come to the class because they do not make the assignment until due date. It is the impact of when some students often postpone the assignment. Some students usually do it a day before it must submitted.

The students are very late to come to the class, so they miss it. When we enjoy our sleep too much, we will forget with everything including come to the course in this case because we are over sleep. Mostly, it happens when we get class in AB period. Then, when we on the way to campus, sometimes we also get problem. The problem is the motorcycle, it happens for the students who bring motorcycle to campus. Flat tire, out of gas, and motorcycle breaks down, those are some problems of motorcycle. When we bring motorcycle or car to campus, sometimes we will also meet with traffic jam. The example is the religion ceremony carnivals like “ngaben” and “melasti” that usually create traffic jam in Bali. Those make us late because we need to wait until the ceremony finish its march on the road. When that happens, the things that we can do are pray to the God and be more patient.

The students also forget to have a class. It happens because the class moved to another period or another day accidently. Students will get the information about that via SMS. Sometimes, some students who do not aware about it will forget to have a class and miss it. They also forget to have a class because of Game Online. Game online is a thing that influence our study. When we enjoy it too much, then we will forget with everything and also our time to have a class. The other is when we are too busy with the organization. Some students think that organization is more important than course, so when they have a class then they will forget about it.

Indeed, when the students do not come to a certain class, it was caused by some reasons, such as: afraid to come to a certain class, they are very late, and forget to have a class. When they are absent,, the things that they will get are mostly bad effects. So, it is better for us as students not ot miss a certain class, no matter what is the condition.
